Salt Lake City, UT - PBS Utah is proud to announce the release of Season 4 of Utah Insight, a local current affairs program that explores a range of issues affecting the Beehive State. This season, Utah Insight covers a diverse range of topics including book banning, social media and youth mental health, domestic violence, gun violence, Utah's youth treatment industry, reproductive rights, digital nomads and the housing dilemma, future of the Great Salt Lake, fighting the opioid epidemic, and Utah's energy future.

Executive producer Kelton Wells says of the new season, “The Utah Insight team is digging into issues and concerns affecting people across our state. From the uncertain future of the Great Salt Lake to the impacts of gun violence on Utah families, and even a look at the ways remote work has impacted the housing market, we’re taking a deeper dive than you’d typically find on other TV stations. This season we’re also focusing on the ways these issues impact young people in Utah.”

In the episode on book banning, Utah Insight explores the recent controversy around banning books in local schools, and the implications of such censorship. The episode on social media and youth mental health examines the impact of social media on the mental health of young people, and what can be done to address this growing concern. Other episodes in the season tackle issues such as preventing domestic violence, gun violence, Utah's youth treatment industry, reproductive rights, digital nomads and the housing dilemma, future of the Great Salt Lake, and more.
